The Camel Park "Rakši" is located 7 km from Cēsis and is home to more than 200 animals – including camels, llamas, alpacas, lemurs, Australian kangaroos, zebras, Poitou donkeys, Valais Blackneck goats, Valais Blacknose sheep, Highland cattle, colorful Ara parrots, emus, ostriches, guinea pigs, and rabbits. At Rakši, visitors can enjoy camel rides, llama walks, donkey carriage rides, direct-contact lemur feeding, and many other activities.
At the Camel Cafe, visitors can enjoy healthy pancakes and gourmet-flavored ice cream made with camel milk, as well as Moroccan tagines cooked over an open fire.
The souvenir shop offers cosmetics made with camel milk, various knitwear from camel, llama, and alpaca wool, as well as blankets filled with the wool of these animals.
Rakši also produces organic fertilizer for gardeners and flower growers, made with manure from camels, llamas, and alpacas.
